Christmas at Our Place

So this year, we are staying at our place for Christmas.
We are trying to decide some traditions that we can start ourselves and not be lonely & without family during this fun season.
Ichat will be up on our computer LOTS during those days
& conference calls will be made almost nonstop.

To get ready for our Savior's Birth, we:
*decorated our walls, plant shelf, and other flat surfaces
Camryn was right there in all the action which made it a lot more fun this year.

She saw us keep getting up on the chairs to reach up high & had to push her own chair over and do things herself : )
She has since learned to use the chair as a ladder to get whatever she wants from the kitchen counters. Ugh.

We put up our tree & Camryn got to touch it and help bend the branches to their right places.
She also got to help mommy put ornaments on
[until she wouldn't stop trying to eat them]
Then she had to stand on her own chair and just watch.

So this will be where we celebrate Christmas & yes the presents will  be larger than the tree.
But it's who you're with and not the decorations that matter!
Right?
I keep telling myself that it's ok we won't be waking up with lots of family around & that it'll be a lot of fun to see our own child get so excited and happy for her presents..
It will be : )

We put up our own tree this year, in the basement...and its not much taller than Spencer:)He loves Christmas trees, so that tree is specifically Spencer's tree:)
