After 2 weeks of 'budding' [where we could tell a tooth was coming up, kinda white where it cuts through the gum] Camryn's first tooth has popped out!
She was SO fussy last night. Just crying and fighting sleep HARD.
It was very frustrating. We didn't know what to do.
Silly us.
It DID NOT occur that a new tooth could be the cause.
I'm not sure if it cut through last night or this morning, but something told me to check her gums after we went downstairs.
Lo and behold, I felt a little sharpness!
I felt so sorry for her! and newly enlightened on the causes for some major fussiness. :(
I felt bad for getting irritated with her and cuddled a little more today.
She seems to be doing fine now.
Just highly irritable.
But for now, she has a good reason for it :]
She has been nothing but slobbery for the past 3 months.

For next time, get some baby orajel. It's a life saver. When Spencer has his teething nights I just orajel on him, then all he wants to do is chew on his bottle and be held. I usually prop up pillows so i'm almost sitting up and just hold him for hours. He screams when he's teething, not just crying but screaming...the orajel usually gets him to stop within minutes. I love the stuff.
That is so exciting! I love Teething Tablets for that kind of stuff! That is fantastic though. She will be a little tender for the next little while. And fussy - oh yes! You got it, though - cuddle her tight and let her chew baby!
Well... since none of my baby's have teethed yet I really don't have any words of advice like Lisa and Carly. But... I concur with what they said!
Oh man Amber, I am going through the SAME thing right now, but Klaire is 8 months and NO teeth yet. They are playing tricks on her, it seems like its going to cut any day and then NOPE. So frusterating! but orajel & teething tablets are MY BEST FREIND! Good luck with the sleepless nights :) She is the cutest thing, I love the video with you guys saying POOP. haha, cracked me up!
I cannot believe how much she has grown up. Crazy! I loved the video you posted of her laughing. So cute! Hope things are going well back there in Mesa.
