Camping

May 27th.
Thursday.
Getting everything ready to go camping the following morning!
Woohoo!!
Camryn decided to climb up & see why Brighton was talking
& to give him kisses of course.
He did not like her in his face
I started talking to him and it startled him enough
that he stopped crying to talk back for a second :)
Cam & I made a smoothie for mid morning snack
& it didn't turn out well in my opinion,
but she devoured hers!
1 finger at a time
Tried on a pair of shoes for Brighton to wear up camping.
How cute do those look on him! & they totally fit!
Check out his little smirk/almost smile I caught :)
Really looks like a Pannell there.
I'll have to post pictures of who I think he resembles.
Ha ha gotta love his big, bright, blue eyes
Looks a ton like Cam here
He puked all over himself so we changed the onesie,
only to have him crap himself out of it later on.
Ha ha ha then there are the eyes again! heh heh

Friday afternoon we headed to Jordan's wonderful camping spot.
Here Brighton is taking a nap all bundle up because the wind was rather cold if you weren't moving around to keep the blood flowing.
Camryn has her own sleeping bag [not that she stayed in it very well]
Pink Camo :)
Camryn, Jordan, Me & Brighton
Digging the fire pit. Camryn tried to help by putting dirt back INTO the hole :)
She was so cute.
And actually kept her pigtails in!!
Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night. It was freezing [not according to Jordan]. Camryn would NOT go to sleep until about 10. Just having a hard time even wanting to go down. We decided to go to bed too since we'd all be up with the sun bright and early [which didn't happen]. So bed at 10-10:30 I was up about 3 hours later feeding Brighton & had to go to the bathroom. I put Brighton all snuggled up, into his own sleeping bag right next to mine. Jordan then woke up and went to the bathroom. Camryn woke up freezing & had had a bad dream. Went right back to sleep thank goodness. I was then up again 4 hours later at 6 to feed Brighton again. As I'm sitting there with my shirt up and my back freezing, I see 2 female elk & a male stroll about 100 feet away from our tent :) So cool. & they were BIG!
Jordan woke up after they went by & I told him about them.
All this time, I had been tossing & turning trying to get comfortable, keep my shoulders from freezing as I move around, hoping Brighton is staying warm, checking on Camryn constantly [she kept moving further up & out of her sleeping bag]. I had finally brought Brighton in with me when I woke up at 6 to feed him cause he wasn't going back to sleep on his own & I was exhausted.
Needless to say, it was a long night for both of us & we decided we did NOT want another night like that. Also, we had bought the wrong size of propane tank for our griddle that we borrowed from the Laws & half our meals were planned to be cooked on it. Great.

Oh the joys of motherhood. :)
